Military Police arrest two men in Boa Vista carrying hidden cash tied to vote buying allegations
Officers intercepted Paulo Roberto Alves Temoteo and Jesus Ribeiro carrying R$ 30,000 in R$ 100 bills inside their socks and shoes out of a total R$ 30,500 seized near Capitão Ene Garcez Avenue on Friday. The suspects admitted to police that the funds were intended to purchase votes for approximately R$ 300 each and stated they worked for candidate Nicoletti, while officers also seized campaign stickers for candidate Zé Haroldo and a radio communicator.
- Police seized two packages of R$ 10,000 from Temoteo and one package of R$ 10,000 from Ribeiro during the search.
- A mobile phone found inside the vehicle contained campaign stickers supporting candidates Nicoletti and Zé Haroldo.
